locked Rebuild Database

Hello all but specially to Laurie,  Does Jtalert use wsjt-x.adi file to rebuild database ?  If so, how come  when I rebuild the database, after making a station or country, it tells me that it is not confirmed ?  Could it be usefull to implement reading external files like Gridtracker ( from Lotw or eqsl ) to really confirm the countries and grids and rebuild the database properly.

Thank ytou.

First off, you have to have JT-Alert pointing to the ADIF log file you want it to follow.  Second, unless you actually have a way to get a confirmation from your exchange partner, you don't have a confirmed contact.   Third, unless you're actually updating the WSJT-X log with any confirmations you won't see any confirmations even if you get one.

This is why its better to use a local logging program that's supported by JT-Alert.  Many logging programs, some of the best are free, upload to LoTW, eQSL and so on.  They also can update the log with actual confirmations made on those online sites.   JT-Alert then can read the logging program's files to properly show confirmations.

That covers it.

With respect to the question in the original post, NO JTAlert does not use the WSJT-X adi file.
