locked JTAlert launches and then almost immediately closes

I am just setting up JTAlert on a new computer. It seemed to install fine. When it launches everything seems ok, but after a couple of seconds it automatically closes.
ANy suggestions on what to do to get it to run?

First thing would be to get JTAlert running without having it start anything else. You can rename the C:\Users\[username]\AppData\HamApps folder to start a new config and see if it will run after you start WSJT-X or JTDX (whichever you are using). Once you get the working you can add things one at a time like having it start WSJT-X. Mike W9MDB
