Bill -

This isn't a lot of information to go on - can you relate to us a little more about the PC, especially the OS and the CPU? There are a number of users that run multiple WSJT-X/JT Alert instances without problems so fixing this should be do-able.

Check the email headers of a duplicate message. You will likely find that each message is going to a different recipient address.
I note a new user registered Sep 3 with a similar name, with an email address of Thomas@K*****ba.com. Is that you?

I also run y PC 24/7 running 16TB of backups across 10 drives.

Also running graphics, photoshop, video processing, et al.

Despite that Herculean load at 90% temp max on CPU, it runs fine for months on end.

However, only when I run WSJT, JTAlert, GridTracker, and AC Log during my 16/7 AR monitoring, do I have memory issues.

Each of those AR apps seem to run aground with what appears to be memory leaks after roughly 16-24 hours.

There are other sources of crashes too. Such as UDP messaging storms that trigger interrupt thrashing.

Systems with lighter loads would probably run longer before resources are totally consumed.

I just treat it as par for the course.

Interestingly, simply closing and re-opening said AR apps also cures the problem with a full reboot.

That seems to underscore a resource issue when pushing any of those apps beyond 16 hours.

Not a problem. Just a minor annoyance.

Their value far outweighs a few app restarts and a rarer PC reboot.

Hi Bill - I think so too.  Maybe it's a memory leak issue that degrades system performance over time.  You have a lot going on within your PC 24X7. Why don't you just re-boot a couple times a week - that likely would solve your issue.

Apologies re my Duplicate Forum Msg report.
It now seems that my email server may be the culprit.
To wit: A few other non-user group emails are being duplicated - but not all.
Whereas ALL user group emails are being duplicated.
Might be some funky mail server forwarding bug being triggered to resend on certain header content.
In any case, I'm fairly certain seems that it is NOT the user group forwarding.

Is there a way to have JTalert highlight or alarm on a specific call sign when it is heard in QSO? Many times rare DX never calls CQ and you have to find them by reading all of the messages in the WSJT-X window which is very hard to do when the band is crowded.

FYI,

If you decode a Callsign that you want to add to the Wanted Callsigns list, the Callsign right-click context menu allows you to do that without the need to open the Settings window. An existing Wanted Callsign can also be quickly removed via the same menu.

Bill,

Sorry, no idea what is happening.
There may be something recorded in the Windows event viewer.

With this many concurrently running applications affected at the same time on a long-running PC, my thoughts are that something catastrophic has occurred within Windows itself, rather than a single application at fault. It may be caused by a partially applied  Windows update. If your running Windows 10, my standard fix in recent months is to perform a Windows Restart. I have lost count of how many times a restart has corrected unexpected/broken application behavior (not just JTAlert) for many users.

The JTAlertV2.Manager.exe Fatal Error is being shown because JTAlert was unable to start that process, likely due to the underlying Windows instability (that is my guess as to the root cause).

There may be something recorded in the JTAlert debug files, use the "Help" -> "Contact Support" menu, on the main JTAlert window, to send me your JTAlert files for analysis.

I run overnight to see the DX on 160M and other bands. If monitoring
digital frequencies it's a service to those transmitting as they can
see their coverage.
Finally, many ops are now running remote and find it convenient to
simply connect to their rig and go rather than waiting for everything
to power up.

Larry,

if you are running Windows 8 or later shutting down doesn't clear up anything significant, you would be better doing a restart.
