Re: Defender Virus detected??
Hi Mike
I had no problems downloading the upgrade file. The problem was that Defender would not let me install it and I can not figure out how to tell Defender it is OK. Sorry if I was not clearer. Neil N4FN

Send Laurie a support request via "?" > "Contact Support". He's been chasing SQlite issues that some of us have and may ask for some additional files, but the support request is a good place to start. 73, Mike - N8MSA

Hi Mike,
That's whats confusing me. There is no HamApp file or folder in c:\program files (x86). I can't find any files related to JTAlert anywhere.

It sounds like it was installed with admin privileges. Open a file browser to that directory and try to delete it. You should get prompted for elevated priveleges. de Mike W9MDB

Problem with decodes history window
Ed Fuller
My decodes history window is not updating in real time. When I open it it displays the records in the database, but will not add any current decodes until I close it and reopen it. at one point it was throwing an error window showing a problem with sqlite.interoperablity.dll or something similar. The error no longer shows up. Sorry I didn't capture it. jta 2.16.1 win7 64 home premium. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooted.

Neil,
Here is what I did today just to see how it would work. It worked
fine.
I run Norton as my primary anti virus protection, and have Windows Defender
running as well. I normally use Google Chrome. Today I opened
Chrome, and went to Dogpile.com. From Dogpile I went to HamApps and
downloaded JTAlert. It downloaded OK. Norton reported it to
be virus free. But Defender said it might damage my computer and
offer the option of Discarding it or Keeping the file. Of course, I kept
it. No pain, no strain. Just a couple of extra mouse
clicks.
Hope this is helpful to you and others

Re: When did District of Columbia become a state?
Kevin Utzy
Laurie put that in because some requested it. It is not a state and does not count for awards. Normally in state contests it is referred to a MDC for Maryland and District of Columbia. But some people like to track DC contacts. So for WAS DC would count for Maryland.

Re: Windows Defender Response to Submission
Thanks for the many fine answers. Currently using latest build of Windoze 10, and also a product called WebRoot. Never had problems with WebRoot "allow anyway", but Defender has wanted to clamp down on JT-Alert. Will follow your suggestions and see what happens.
