Please use the "Settings -> Contact Support" menu to send me your session and config files for analysis. Your session file contains a significant amount of data for logged QSOs and should provide me with the clue as to the cause. de Laurie, VK3AMA

This seems to have been a "one time event" because I have subsequently had other QSOs and successfully logged them to DXLab's database system via the JT65-HF/JT-Alert (v2.0.0) system. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what actually caused this PJ2MI logging error message to be generated ?

HRD Logging
While I was on vacation, my laptop OS crashed. I have managed to salvage my log files and reload the software but for some strange reason, JT65-HF will not log to my HRD logbook. I have everything set to log to HRD on JT-Alert and on JT65-HF but it just is not happening.
Any ideas?

Re: "JT-Alert: JT65-HF Data ERROR" ?
Ernest L. Kapphahn
This happens to me occasionally when RF gets into the computer. In HRD, the frequency disappears if RF is getting into the computer. This is the error you get when there is no frequency in the box when you try to log the QSO.
I reduced the problem with toroids on the USB cables but it still occurs very infrequently on 10 meters. Toroids on the audio cables will probably end it. Ernie W6KAP

Re: [Ham-Apps] About importing an adif
af5x@...
Laurie,
I'm enjoying the new version, which blended in
seamlessly. Not sure why I did it, but I installed v 2.0.0 by
adding a sub-folder to the existing location of 1.6.0.
I don't recall using the "Select" button.
The new version continues to put records into
DXKeeper, but I'm not yet sure if the "B4" feature is
working. I'll check that today.
I'm totally happy with v 2.0.0 at any rate, and I'm
especially grateful for the excellent installation program.
Thanks, Laurie....73...~jess, AF5X

Re: Error: Array variable
kj4dj_dj
TKS for your response. No the line number is different. This is my previous posting:
I continue to receive the fatal error: "line 11894 Error: Array variable has incorrect number of subscripts or range exceeded" A month or so ago it occurred over and over and then stopped. But the last few days it is back again. No program changes on my computer. I will try to notice the conditions when this occurs. The files sent were while Alert was still running and the error msg was on the screen. Please tell me what the array contains so I can pay particular attention to that type of data. Things again. DJ

Costas J. Dovas - SV4FFL
Hi Laurie
tnx for ur time and sorry for bothering you. You are right the selection dont make any deletion of the source adif but after that, i am trying to run "Scan log and update" but cannot find any DXCC country to count. I am sure now that the problem is the adif version of MixW 2.19 (ver 1.0) that does not have the dxcc field inside but I tried to export my adif from DXlab to a higher adif version and i have the same result. I will try to export my log from Logger32. Have you any other suggestion? Thanks in advance Costas SV4FFL

Version 2 and all add-ons installed and run okay, thanks Laurie!
I am having a problem with the decoded calls not all showing a state. I ran v1.6 and it works as it should but when going back to v2 it misses quite a few that 1.6 shows. I may have missed something, new db installed in v2 through the installer?? Ron K0IDT

When do the Wanted States, grids etc. get unchecked?
brad_kd5zat <bjpenn@...>
Hello All,
I have noticed that my items on wanted lists do not get unchecked when I log a contact. Does it only update the wanted categories under the Scan Log and Update under configuration? The reason I ask is that before when I have scaned the log to update in JT-Alert version 1.6 or version 2.0.0 and I lose some of the wanted items I had. Does this mean that my JT65-HF log doesn't agree with my HRD v5 log? I just manually updated my wanted states lists for 10m,12m,15m,17m,20m and 40M from my HRD log. When I scan log and update in JT-Alert I lose quite a few of my states. Just trying to understand how this works. Thanks, Brad KD5ZAT

Hi Laurie...If you have "Use Individual State Name Announcements" checked, then the test button (and the others) will be greyed out. That's all you need to do, any State alerts will announce the State. This does require the new Ham-Apps Sound files to be installed. Ver 1.6.0 files are not compatible. Download the new files from the "Program Updates" section of the Config. Don't know how your seeing 2 hotkeys defined for the one toggle. There is only one entry field per toggle. Can you provide a screen-capture showing the two keys defined? JT-Macros has NO involvement with the right-click of JT65-HF. It is simply a standalone application that can send strings direct to the "TX Text" field of JT65-HF. Click the >> symbol top-right of JT-Macros for instructions and access to the editing of the individual macro buttons. Probably in the new year. I hope to spend some time on it over the Christmas break.

Version 2 questions
Phil Irons <ve1bvd@...>
Hi Laurie...
I know the Subject line is not very descriptive, but if I gave a GOOD descrition, I wouldn't need to fill in the message body!!! Hi hi OK, here goes. Downloaded and installed version 2 tonight, and everything seems to be ok operationally, but...
1. I would like The Voice (Joan DX?) to announce individual US State Names, à la v 1.6.0; however, There does not seem to be a file for that, as all the options are greyed out when I check that box.
2. In Settings > Hot Keys, Toggle "Out of Shack Alert On/Off" equates to both ALT+X and ALT+H. Do BOTH work, or is there a bug? 3. I have downloaded and installed JT-Alert Macros 2.0.2; however, when I right click in the text box in JT65-HF, only the Version 1.6.0 macros appear. How can I get the new ones to appear?
4. I note that there is a HELP file for the macros, but not for the main program. Will one be forthcoming in the near future? Thanks for what looks like a great new program--I look forward to exploring it more fully.
73, Phil/VE1BVD

OK, I know what is happening. JT-Alert (as well as that test utility I previously posted) filter the Registry search results to eliminate DSNs that use a Driver type not supported by HRD (FoxPro, dBase, Paradox, etc). I note from your screen capture that the DSN Driver is named "SQL Server". The HRD documentation for setting up MSSQL states use the "SQL Server Native Client 10.0". JT-Alert is looking for the string"SQL Server Native Client" without the version number and is thus filtering out your "SQL Server" driver based DSNs. I have recompiled the HRD_ODBC_DSN_test.exe file to allow for this. Please download and advise if it is now seeing your DSNs. de Laurie, VK3AMA

Laurie, My Log DSN is not in the list. And my HRD Log is on the local PC and connects to a SQL server remotely via ODBC.
