Re: JTAlert freezes during start
Laurie: Definitely not protection software. Notice from NET here this AM that NET 5.0 has problem. Recommends upgrade to 5.0.6. That seems to be my fix.. It has been two days now.

Always on top
Hi all
The answer is probably obvious, but I just could not find it...
The JTAlert windows is hidden when I bring another screen on top of it.
But the callsign windows is always on top. Can I change

Re: JTAlert 2.50.1 does not receive from WSJT-X - Callsigns, Activity and Band heat windows don't open
My apologies for a late reply and thanks for pointing me to the incorrect UDP setting. I have no recollection of checking it, nor changing the port number, but obviously I must have done so. The good

Re: UDP Error
I only have two applications using the UDP port - WSJT-X and JTAlert. I also tried the multicast set up and it didn't work.
So I went back to find previous versions to see if I could get something

If you can't drag the edges of the Callsigns window to increase its size, make the window active, then press the F2 key which will open the Options, then untick the "Size locked" checkbox which

Re: JTAlert freezes during start
JTAlert 2.16.17 & .16 do not use the .NET 5 runtime.
.NET 5.0.0 or 5.0.6 will make no difference, both will work with the JTAlert 2.50.x series.
My only thoughts on your troubles are that your

Rolled back to 2.16.6 and 2.16.7. Only the settings window opened. No main window starts. NET is 5.0
Next, upgraded NET to 5.0.6 and reinstalled JTAlert 2.50.1 again. It loads now and runs OK. I

Re: Rollback JTAlert
#1 Shut down JTAlert
#2 Rename C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\HamApps to HamAppsOld for example
Then run JTAlert again and see if it works. Could be a corrupt config file.

Re: USB Port Shortage
you can buy 8i or 10 port powered hubs for about $20 bucks Walmart, best buy etc etc. You will need a powered port though.

Rollback JTAlert
Rolled back to 2.16.7. The settings window opens ok but main window does not open. Is that because NET is at 5.0? At least that is partial progress - no freeze.

Running latest NET and JTAlert. JTAlert is still freezing on start. Win 10 latest update. Added exclusions for WSJT. & JTAlert. No quarantined items in Protection software. WSJT runs OK. Only

Re: Decode not clearing
You found it, Laurie. It was the UDP resend option that I had been fooling around with when trying to get a "new" program to work. It didn't work and has been removed but I never went back to uncheck

Re: Dual callsign
Very likely a setup issue with Log4OM preventing JTAlert receiving UDP data from WSJT-X due to using a unicast UDP setup in WSJT-X and Log4OM taking exclusive control of the UDP port

Very simple...as I said... I want to be able to switch from one call to the other as easily as possible. For all of Log4OM (same instance, but 2 callsigns) + JTDX + JTAlert.
