Well, if the HRD problem is with HRD Ver 5.x as stated above, it won't be fixed in that version since it is no longer under development.
A negative doesn't prove anything, but I have never had that problem with HRD 6.X and WSJT-X.

There is a known problem with the HRD Logbook and WSJT-X, it's been around for a fairly long time. HRD's team and the WSJT folks are both aware of it and working toward a fix.

Try firing up WSJT-X by itself and see if that problem continues or if that cures it.

Odd that you should mention this...

I am using the latest JTAlert and WSJT-X v 1.4 with XP Pro (SP3), a Yaesu FT1000MP and a plain wire dipole (not a SteppIR) and occasionally I have to give it "a squirt of RF" by momentarily hitting the "Tune" button on WSJT-X to restore RX levels.

So, it seems it is not particularly unique to the SteppIR.

I wonder what is going on ?????

Tim, KB3TC

JTAlert doesn't in any way interact with the WSJT-X waterfall, except to minimize/restore the Waterfall Window, never the functionality of the Waterfall display.
Are you sure the graph is not moving? Maybe it is but your misinterpreting the lack of signals as it is not moving. Are you hearing signals when the Waterfall appears to be not moving?

If you hitting the Tune button perhaps it is an RF issue. Perhaps your Rx levels are so low that it appears that the Waterfall is not moving, when it is just that your not seeing signals because the Rx levels are too low. Some SteppIR antennas require a squirt of RF to restore RX levels. My SteppIR occasionally has this behaviour.

There is nothing in the JTAlert code that is affected by WSJT-X tune.

* Likewise, Desktop Icons / Shortcuts are not created to prevent
possible name collisions.
* The builds are the latest Development Builds ( will update weekly or

saved in the install root directory ( build-info.txt )
* There is a series of command line tools / links available ( in the

Jean-Michel,

Without trying to translate French into English, I am guessing that the French language dialog is generated by Windows and is reporting HAUpdater.exe is missing. HAUpdater.exe  t is installed in your JTAlert install directory. Is the file there? If not, that suggests that your Virus software prevented its install.

All the other errors, generated by JTAlert, would be caused by the missing HAUpdater.exe. I need to add additional checking to avoid these errors when the JTAlert installed HAUpdater.exe is missing or access to the file is denied.

Robert,

I am still working on this. I am seeing some weird behaviour using the scenario you describe.

As a test can you start JTAlertX/WSJT-X first and then start JTAlert/HB9HQX a minute or two later. Do you still get the non-populating HB9HQX decodes?
