Same here. Have to be a moderator to vote in the poll.
Where are the UN election monitors when you need them?

Hi all,

Is it me, or does the poll take you to a Yahoo group page that says you
need to be the moderator?

Anyway, I use 1440 X 900 on two monitors in the shack, and I have
JT65-HF running with JTAlert below, and JTMacros to the right.
I also have DXLab Commander and PSTRotatorAz running on the second monitor.

This suits me fine.

I use 1920 x 1080.

WSJT-X main display100% of vertical span across 40% of screen, JT macros alongside

Activity / callsign history, waterfall, and JT Alert  on LHS of screen.

1440 - screen is wider that tall and it would be valuable to
have a vertical version of JT Alert allowing for WSJT-X show
more decodes during peak activity.

Using number 4. Greater than 1920 on 2 monitors so I guess that makes 3840.

Thanks for the update Jim,

You got more from Avast support than me. They never acknowledged my false-positive reports.

Today's Avast virus signatures (listed as version 140729-0 on my computers) do not detect JTAlert version v2.4.20 as malware. I have removed the exclusion for the JTAlert folder and performed a scan without finding any virus/malware.

By the way, I received two emails from Avast technical support, one confirming that they received my report of a false positive, and the second later message confirming false detection and stating that it would be fixed.

Colin,

Sounds like you make have font scaling enabled and greater than 125%. I adjust JTAlert to compensate, but only for scaling up to 125%, greater than that then it becomes more difficult and I never pursued the code changes necessary for greater than 125%.

Please send me, direct, a screen capture showing JTAlert-X and WSJT-X windows so I can visualise what your describing. Thanks.

Yes I could stretch the JTAlert window on XP, put it down to one of those flukes of the OS. On my new computer the title bar information is somewhat compressed and overlapped, an issue I can happily live with.

Masa,

You didn't say which antivirus product your using.

There have been a recent number of false-positives from Avast and McAfee reporting virus/trojans. Not specific threats, just generic (non-specific) threats based purely on the compiler used to create JTAlert.

There have been no confirmed reports of virus infection caused by JTAlert. I am confident that it is virus free.

Howard,

JTAlert has the same functionality when working with the HB9HQX edition as it has for the other JT65-HF versions. What functionality do you feel are missing?

What is this logbook error your getting? Is it from JTAlert or from HB9HQX?

Hard to advise of a workaround without some detail as to what is not working.

I have moved to the JT-65 HB9HQX Edition and like it very much.  What I miss with it is the JT-Alert functionality.  Somehow when I bring it up I get an error related to the logbook.  I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround for this.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

if you would like to try this version which is still in Beta form you can find it here:

Again any help with JT-Alert would be appreciated....
