NO! There is no need to run JTAlert with elevated privileges!  If you have to do that it will be because you have other programs that JTAlert is interacting with set to run elevated. There should never be any normal need to do this. Running multiple applications elevated severely compromises the security of your PC. I do not recommend that. If your turn off the "Run as administrator" settings of your other applications, there will not be a need to run JTAlert elevated.

I used to get a double bell sound when someone transmitted to me.  In 2.50.1 that is no longer happening.  What alert is associated with this action?

Thanks

Frans,

Please post an image of the actual error window, it contains additional information that will help identify the cause of the error.

You can ignore the AutoIT error, that is due to the Manager error and JTAlert closing down before it had finished its startup initialization.

Since JTAlert was working correctly previously, your installation may now be compromised with missing files. A reinstall of JTAlert should fix that. However, if there are missing files, that could indicate that your PC Protection software has decided to suddenly dislike JTAlert and has either removed files or is preventing JTAlert from starting its Manager program.

locked Filters - A feature request

Mike Flowers

I am using JTAlert v2.50.1 with great effect here.  I find that I am using the Settings > Filters features quite a lot.

I change the Filter values frequently as I change bands and as propagation changes.

It would be most convenient of 'Filters' were one of the Windows Options for the Callsign window.  I know this would improve usability for me, and I suspect for other ops as well.

Thanks for this great tool, Laurie!

If the Gear icon is not accessible then use the F2 hotkey to bring up the Options popup. The F2 key is the standard across all the JTAlert windows to open their Settings/Options.

With JTAlert 2.50.1 the "Online" star symbol (not badge) is turned off for the Callers display as the space is taken up by the delete icon (cross). The symbol is still visible in the main display area. So there is no setting to make that visible in the Callers display.

However, with the upcoming JTAlert 2.50.2 release there have been a number of significant changes to the Callsigns window. One of those changes is that the "Online" symbol is visible in the Callers display area. Also the symbol used is user-settable (from a pre-defined list of 19 symbols).
