Thanks Laurie, that works for me! Didn't realize that was the column you highlighted!

I switched off grid tracker and only tried to start JTAlert, unfortunately the same error message.

I've used JTAlert successfully in the past. What do I have to enter instead of 127.0.0.1? What is a multicast?

I should have clarified my question. I use the grid alarm in JTA now. Just wish it would only look at those 488 grids not every grid. Or make it so I can pick and choose which 6m/2m grids I am looking for. Maybe 2 Grid tabs one for All Grids and one for just for Fred Fish grids so alarms are more meaningful.
I can send you the list of 488 grids if that would help.

Send me the list.

Simple, turn off the docking to WSJT-X. With it enabled, whenever WSJT-X is brought forward of other windows it is dragging the old JTAlert window along as well.

Docking can be turned off via the "View" menu, topmost entry.

I don't know. There is nothing in JTAlert that triggers after 15 minutes, the maintenance (file cleanup), update check and system operating condition snapshot all occur at JTAlert startup and then every 60 minutes.

Do you experience the same issue with WSJT-X 2.4.0 ?

I noticed on the Decodes Window that new states, grids, zones, prefixes are highlighted but new countries are not. Perhaps this can be added at some point, I know you are in a rewrite.

I find it useful to look at a column and easily ID the alerts.

You have 2 options.
  1. Relocate the Dxcc column (after you make it visible) to next to the CountryName column so you can easily see the Country name of DXCC Alerted decodes.
  2. Wait for the JTAlert 2.50.2 release.

Your image shows that you don't have the DXCC column visible, why is that? Having the DXCC column visible will help identify Dxcc alerts.

That will not work. JTAlert only works with the Primary UDP Serer settings. JTAlert will never use the secondary Server settings of JTDX.

The easiest solution is to set JTDX and GridTracker to use a Multicast UDP. That will allow JTAlert and GridTracker to run concurrently.

There is no need to use unicast UDP as you currently are.

Is your NEW COUNTRY alert the HIGHEST
on the alert priority list ?

JTAlert will used WSJT-X's port on 2237.

Then set up JTAlert to forward to GridTracker on a different port...for example 2334 (the default) and set GridTracker to Receive UPD Messages on port 2334.

You need to set up multicast and turn off the 2nd UDP server.

It's in JTAlert's Help -- search for multicast.

Thank you...got it. I almost never use the opening window and only want to see the callsigns. I have my screen set up in 4 mostly equal quadrants, WSJTx top left, cluster top right, waterfall bottom right and JTAlert callsigns bottom left. When changing clusters the larger screen covers the waterfall.

I know...a separate monitor for the cluster...I have but a pain to keep it right also.

This is all minor stuff, but just wondering if I could change the size or default to the call sign screen.

Thank you for a game changing piece of software and the constant attention to it's excellence.
