Yeah...I had the same problem and so did a friend of mine with the latest update.

Had to uninstall all sound devices (make sure you select View/Show hidden devices too) and reboot to let them install again...

locked Solar Data Not Logged?

Jim - N4ST

Ver 2.50.0 does not seem to be logging solar data to HRD Logbook.

And I do have the box checked to do so in the JTAlert Settings.

Also, in the options for the Activity Window, the “Solar in the Title Bar” check box works just the opposite of what is implied.

A clear box posts the data, a checked box removes the data.

No, that wasn't it -- it was one of the first things I checked:

Here is my test scenario:
  1. Set HRD Logbook to receive QSOs via UDP
  2. Set both WSJT-X and JTAlert to send QSOs via UDP
  3. Set WSJT-X to FT4 and confirm that JTAlert detects the mode.
  4. In WSJT-X, create some QSOs manually and log them.
  5. HRD LB will show 2 entries for each QSO.  The one from JTAlert will be missing the FT4 submode, the one from WSJT-X will have it.

Yes, I was hoping it could be made resizable, but no big deal if it requires much work to change.

I just discovered that this folder:

C:\Users\mrbil\AppData\Local\HamApps\AA4M\config\JTAlertX

Contains 110MB of files dating from today all the way back to 08/22/21.  Is there any reason I can't delete all this as part of my periodic housekeeping?

After trying to get the JTAlert for a few hours I noticed my task bar looked a little different. As I was about to start all over again with new downloads as the monitor was shutting down I just caught it . So yes it was there all the time but not noticeable. I wonder if anyone has the same problem? So all is well with 2.50.

Tnx, John

I have been with JTAlert since the beginning and it just keeps getting better!

Ver 2.50.0  brings so many new features and am enjoying it immensely.

I am having to rethink my desktop layout with all of the new window arrangements.

Great job!

Will there be any way to resize the JTAlert window? It doesn't require as much horizontal space now that decoded callsigns are no longer displayed in that window. I would like to make it smaller left to right, so that it will take up less space.

That's coming. Not immediately, the remaining components of the main JTAlert window, Logging fields, the Confirmed Bands/Mode display as well as some miscellaneous popups need to be migrated over to the new code base.
Eventually, there will be no main JTAlert window, just an icon in the Windows notification area or perhaps a small floating toolbar. I haven't decided yet, but I am leaning towards a small toolbar, or perhaps a choice between the two. I'm big on allowing user choice, hi.
