Short answer... NO

Long answer... Any sort of callsign sorting will require that all decodes have been processed and delivered by WSJT-X before JTAlert can produce a sorted display. That could be several seconds of dead (non-display) time depending on you PC capability and how busy the Band.

If you're overflowing the 4x9 grid with callsigns, there are a couple of options...
  1. Apply one or more Alert filters when you're on a busy band to remove the Callsigns you're unlikely to want to work, say filter out the B4's or Callsigns not generating alerts.

  2. Use the Decodes window, it has no limit on the Callsigns displayed in a period, unlike the main JTAlert window. You can even view decodes from a previous periods. Callsigns in the Decodes window obey the same mouse clicks as the main JTAlert window.

There are more options, you need to scroll down. Did you miss the highlighted vertical scrollbar (on the right) in my original post?

I have just begun using JTALERT.  It works fine.  I do not use the logging feature as I manage my own thru Ham Radio Deluxe and Club Log.  I just use it for the alerting feature.  When I have worked a station it annotates it "B4".  But, how can I "pre-load" JTALERT to incorporate my old logbook callsigns?

I use N3FJP programs while contesting, and realize that each new contest-specific database (I've only used the RTTY-RU program thus far) will show me WAS; however, JTAlert is much easier to use, with its various alert-colored decoded callsign windows.

I was hoping that JTAlert would allow me to set up a new "profile" for each contest, in which I can set States (DX, or whatever else) desired; after the contest, I'd simply revert back to my main/non-contesting profile. This would be a nice feature, methinks.

Hi Laurie - HNY

Would it be possible to make designated needed entity post stay in place on JTAlert until manually removed?  Sometimes we are distracted for a few minutes and do not want to miss a  designated needed entity.  Manual removal of posted "needs" would fix that.  Perhaps you could use color code to freeze the post.

Simple in use a new database in n3fjp contest blogger and tell jtalert to use that log instead.  When they contest is done i revert back to original logging program and change jtalert bsck

Since it's a contest, why not use a contest logger that provides the information you need and much more?  N1MM+ is they most popular contest logger world-wide and interfaces well with WSJT-X.  There is documentation on how to use the two programs together, a video, plus it has excellent and free support.  Neither JTAlert nor WSJT-X are contest loggers and thus can't provide the remarkable assistance N1MM+ can.
