My rig is a Yaesu 897D win10 64
When starting wsjtx a note opens saying "Rig failure Hamlib error:Target VFO unaccessible while getting current frequency". I really don't know where to look and fix the problem. Appreciate all the help (simplified) to move forward with the program. 73, Noel (OM) N3NZ

Re: Wanted DXCCs V.2.16.10 Band 4 m
Good afternoon Laurie, I will try to explain myself better and I trust the Google translation ... Under normal conditions, when I am working in WSJT, in the band, example, 20 meters, when opening the searched DXCC, the data is represented in the 20 meter band; If you are in the 4 meter band, when performing the same operation, the data sheet with the 160 meter band title appears. Well it is true, as you just indicated, that you can access by clicking on the corresponding band, and it is so, it works. It is not a band that has activity and that is why I did not use it and did not know that it comes out like 160 meters, but with the solution provided, you change it that is important. I deleted all the file & folders including those in localappdata. If that folder/files deletion included the JTAlert installation directory, my only other suggestion is that you try installing to a different location out-side the "Program Files..." directories. I am thinking a possible security/permissions issue, perhaps something broken within the File System. Its probably worth running an Disk Error check, you may have a bad sector. de Laurie VK3AMA

I see an error opening Wanted DXCCs .. on the 4 meter band, because the 160 meter band comes out. I can't replicate this behavior. I repeated the un-install, directory and registry clean up. Whatever the problem, given the consistency of the failure, my guess is that the cause is specific to your Windows environment. Users who have experienced these AutoIT errors have reported that the frequency is inconsistent (random) and not on every execution. I don't recall other reports of the failure occurring when trying to open the Settings. I am thinking a possible security/permissions issue with the JTAlert installation directory. Try installing JTAlert to a directory outside the Windows protected "Program Files ..." directory trees. While JTAlert has been coded correctly to work under those directories it wont hurt to install to a new location. If after installing to a new location the problem persists, failure when trying to open the Settings, please zip up the JTAlertSettings.exe file and email it to me directly (use my QRZ listed email address) de Laurie VK3AMA

Try real-time -- if that makes no difference than it would appear that it's not related to any processing delay. This is a known, unfixable problem with JTAlert V2 that will go away with V3....yet to be predicted when it will be released. Mike W9MDB

Re: Decodes problem
Tnx Mike. I went in and deleted what was there and opened JTAlert, no problem. Whether that helped or not remains to be seen since it didn't happen all the time. Anyway I really appreciate it.

You need to shut down JTAlert first. And yes..you can delete all of those if they still hang around. Mike W9MDB

Seems like that should be OK. Just for experimentations sake try raising the priority of JTAlert and see if it makes any difference. I've been using ProcessHacker which allows things like CPU affinity and priority to be remembered for processes. Mike W9MDB

Type this address in your search bar -- you should see your callsign, click on it, then click on Decodes, then right-click decodes.sqlite and select Delete. %localappdata%\HamApps\JTAlert Mike W9MDB
