'#' is directed CQ,  '*'  is general CQ   can be turned on or off by user.

LOTW user can be set to a flag (corner fill) or a stripe -  position configurable by user,  Likewise eQSL (AG) user. Both can be turned on or off

locked Wanted US States status updates

I have JTAlert 2.16.9 and AC Log 6.6.  I have all states worked on 7 bands. When I run Rebuild Alert Database and then look at Wanted US States, it still shows a multitude of states needed on those bands.  Is there a particular field and information that Rebuild looks for in AC Log to update as no longer needed state?  Currently the Recv Conf By field on these contacts has at least a C, in addition to L and/or Q.

Thank you and 73

I updated to v 2.16.9 from 2.16.8. Now I get the error shown here (AutoIt Error). I went back to v 2.16.8 and got it again. I un-installed the program including registry and folder.
Installed 2.26.9 fresh and still get the error.
Who can help here?
v 2.16.8 worked fine before the update. Using Win10 and high-end PC.

You got more than me Ron, I got no sounds at all, had to go in and manually change to a sound from the sound files, but as I say, it's no good having the same sound for both a successful QSO log and and a failed QSO log. Old version back in for me until something changes.

ARRL isn't even self-consistent. See this list. ZR-ZU is "South Africa":

I'm just pointing out the inconsistency. Every time I have tried to
change a name in the country files, someone complains, so I don't make
changes like this anymore, unless the entity name has really changed,
like Swaziland -> eSwatini

2.16.9

Along these same lines I now get both the "windows Notification" sound and the "Text Message" sound when a text message comes in, one after the other.

If I turn off the " Windows Notification" sound then I get just the correct 'Text Message' alert and no log success sound.

And I agree Log success and failure should have different user selectable sounds.

This is a minor issue at best, but one that appears could be easily changed.

I compare with LoTW frequently to insure that DXCC's are staying in sync between JTA and LoTW.  When I see that JTA and LoTW disagree, I do a compare.  But when I get to the "S" group, the JTA abbreviations really put a kink in what would otherwise be a very quick compare.  Also "Republic of South Africa" is listed in JTA as just "South Africa".  There are other variations in the "U" group as well.   A few others almost look like a totally different DXCC until you realize there is no other choice.

Would you consider adjusting these DXCC entries to the more conventional syntax that LoTW, ClubLog and others use?  I know that I would really appreciate it, and perhaps others as well.

Thanks Laurie.  Deleting the "decodes" files did the trick.  I keep my decodes database set for 100 records.  Really don't keep an eye on the Statics, but noticed it was stuck with Zeros after reading this thread.  I've had a couple occasions where deleting the "decodes" files turning out to be the fix.  It would be nice if there was a "reset" choice maybe under the Decodes Window "view" tab that could delete them without drilling down thru the localappdata path.  Thanks again for a great piece of software.  73, Herb WB8ASI

Callsigns and DT highlighting is only available with WSJT-X. JTDX does not support this, the developers chose to remove that functionality from the WSJT-X UDP protocol.

The one change that explains this behavior is having updated your HRD Log to be ADIF 3.1 compliant with respect to FT4 QSOs. You need to tell JTAlert that your HRD log is now compliant.
See JTAlert help file, "HRD 6.7.0.269, JTAlert settings" topic.

There are three parts to successfully installing a false positive JTA version.

1) The browser may flag the download file during the down load phase. Since each new version has a different version number on the download file, a previously set browser down load exception will not apply to the new version.  Once you have set a download exception for the new version, you may then need to download again.

2) Once you have successfully downloaded the JTA setup file and attempt to install, the JTA install process may also require exceptions or elevated permissions to complete the install process.

3) Lastly, once you have everything installed, Defender may flag the installed files during its routine back ground scans.  Setting an exception on the JTA install directory once should prevent problems after JTA have been installed.
