Look at User Defined Alert.
You can use Wanted Grid as an Alert Trigger but if takes quite complicated programming to make a Wanted Grid act like Wanted Callsign.
Programmers, please provide us with a solution.

JTAlert already has a Wanted Grid Alert.

Joe,

If the Decodes window is displaying decodes, than the main JTAlert processing is working.

The missing callsigns in the main display will be due to having one or more Alert filters set. JTAlert will be showing "Filter" in the titlebar status text. What filters do you have set under the "Alerts -> Filters" menu?

Are you sure that ALL decoded callsigns are non-displaying or do you randomly get some callsigns displayed like only CQs?

A couple of possibilities...
  • The "Show only callsigns generating Alerts" filter is set, but you don't have any Alert types enabled.

  • One of the QSL membership (lotw, eqsl) filters is set, but the Callsign database file (which contains the membership data) has been removed. A reinstall of JTAlert will reinstall the missing file.

I had the same problem. For some reason WSJT-X got resized and it covers up JTAlert.
I pulled down the top of the WSJT-X and moved it up until I got the JTAlert window.
All is good now.

If your referring to JTAlert rather than WSJT-X, try using the Decodes Window. Each of the Wanted types, Dxcc, State, Cont, Grid, etc, have their own column and if the decode generates one or more alerts the corresponding column cell in the display with be highlighted. While the Callsigns coloring is restricted to a single (highest priority) Alert, the Decodes window can show in a single line all the Alerts that were generated for that Callsign/decode.

It could be a W for worked, or Even a G for Green, or R for Red. With the Stay at Home restriction and 150 mile separation and not seeing his screen.

How are other Color Blind operators handling it?

Larry,

in WSJT-X all those colours are user definable. Most colour blindness is an inability to differentiate two or three hues, others that are distinguishable can be selected. The highlights in WSJT-X for new DXCC, Continent, or Zones are all accompanied by a text description on the end of the line, Own Call should be obvious, so it seems to me that the only differentiable colours that need to be customized are those that denote CQ, New Call, New Call on Band, New Grid, and New Grid on Band.

Hi Larry,

I'm don't understand what "A symbol that could added to or added to a colored line?" entails. Is there some specific part of the WSJT-X user interface that is causing them problems?

Thank you for fixing this.  I've been an advocate of this program for a couple of years.  I just started using its custom coding. I started using the window to remind me of my codings.  That's when I noticed it.

again thanks for the great work y'all do.  This is an invaluable program.

It's in WSJT-X and it adds the timestamp of the current decode if it has enough room to display it.

Nothing to do with JTAlert.

Why do you ask?

Yeah, I know.  I’m sorry.

Given the volume of traffic I see you juggling day in and day out, I just couldn’t bring myself to add to it with this small, easily ignorable one.  I just wanted to confirm the previous post’s observation that it shows up on multiple desktops not monitors for clarity.

I’ll report anything I see in the future.

To that end, I still have the “Decodes window doesn’t populate until I stop/start it” intermittent issue.  Also easily workaroundable.  Running current everything, Win 10.

Sorry Laurie ...

Enable the "log Fields" display in JTAlert and you will see exactly what will be sent to ACLog.

Look under the "Logging" section of the Settings window to adjust what is getting logged with respect to XML data (you may have to use the right scroll bar to bring additional option check-boxes into view).
