The default JT-Alert directory path is x:\Program Files (x86)\HamApps\JT-Alert, where x: is the drive you have JT-Alert installed on.

Yes, just rename the backup file to config.sqlite after first stopping JTAlert

BTW, the future JTAlertV3 allows for restoring the config from a backup file while JTAlert is running, but that is not possible within the current code.

Yes it is a Windows function, but one that can be changed by the programmer, at build or run-time depending how the menu is created, as to which letter is the Active one for each Menu item.

In fact the 'Sound xxxx' ' menu also uses the same 'S'.

I would like to see a user defined alert based on decode distance.  This would be useful for VHF/UHF bands.  On 6 meters for example, a decode greater than 1500 miles would alert, on 2 meters, a decode greater than 100 miles, etc.  Obviously this would not be useful on HF.

Priority Alert still returns to default order. I changed other options restarted JTAlert and the changed options remained changed as expected but priority alert returned to default order. After I shut down JTAlert and renamed config.sqlite and tried again. The Priority Alert still returned to default order after I changed it following a restarted. So a new config.sqlite file did not solve it for me. Suggestions?

I also would like to turn on/off User Defined Alerts

Is that a new setting in .5 release Window settings as I downgraded to the .4 release to get the “Country” back?  May have missed that setting?

I am unable to find the Volume-Control-Slider that might reduce the loudness of the OK-It's-Logged Kerchunk!

I can reduce or strengthen a LOT of other Alerts in JtAlert but not a single one I tried tones-down the popup which arrives after I log a QSO inside WSJTx/JtAlert.

With the Beta version, when I do a configuration change FT8 to FT4 and FT4 to FT8, I lose docking, but after restart OK until I change configs again.

Your suggestion's  a good one. An incorrect PC setting would explain my problem. I looked for a specific PC setting that  enables or disables speaker use by JTALERT but could not find one. Can you suggest where I should look?

Windows maintains per-application volume & mute settings independent of the values set in the application.

Check the Windows Volume Mixer to see what it has set for the JTAlertV2.Manager application.
Select the sound device as used for JTAlert. If you don't see the volume slider for JTAlert perform a test sound (in JTAlert) as this will trigger Widows to display the slider. Make sure it is not muted or the volume set to zero.
