DxMarathon alert
Carlo - IK2RPE
Hallo Laurie,
I'm following DxMarathon. I had this year several contacts with TA1 (European Turkey): they are logged in DxKeeper Award pane as TA1 region. However an alert starts every time (and on any band) that a TA1 call appears. Once I make in JTAlert the "Scan Log and rebuild" (linked to DxKeeper .mdb) program, WAE European Turkey is *NOT* put in the "not wanted" list. I also tried to add manually this WAE callsign to the "not wanted" list. No joy, the alert continues to start. Furthermore: WAE ITU Vienna is also not put in the "not wanted" list (but for this call there are not so many possible alerts). On the contrary doing the Scan Log prg. WAE African Italy and WAE Bear Island (both never connected by me this year) are put - wrongly - in the "not wanted" list and I have to manually move them to the "wanted" one. Lastly, WAE Shetland Island and WAE Sicily - both worked - are, with the Scan Log prg., correctly put in the "not wanted" list. Did I miss some setup? What can I do? Thanks Carlo IK2RPE

Re: Regarding JTAlert 2.16.5 randomly stopping display of Callsigns
Has anyone else seen the decoding stop working when changing WSJT-X configurations (FT8-FT4)? Has anyone seen any differences between running WSJT-X 32-bit vs 64-bit?

I think I send you an email response directly, but if I didn't, the new beta seems to have corrected the problem. I've run it now since you sent it to me and have not noticed any loss of communications between WSJTx and JTA. I did have to do a reboot of the computer after installing both latest versions as it was not working until after the reboot. Something must have hung around after both updates processed. Several W10 updates later now and all is still good.

Re: Alert 2.16.5 not showing country
Mike / W8DN
Have not been following this thread very closely but...
Didn't JTAlert used to show the country in the pop-up window that you get when you hover over a callsign? Seems like that happens in a very inconsistent (if at all) manner. I need to watch a little closer to see if there is a pattern but thought it used to act that way all the time. Mike / W8DN

No, Worked B4 stand out better. True my colour vision is somewhat defective. Just plain black would be good.

If you use Alt+ a letter, pick a letter that isn't the first letter of any of the menu items in JTAlert. 73, Jim N6VH

Re: Text Message Window 'Offline' ??
I have noticed that the red OFFLINE indicator has been on a lot lately. It shows up even when I am in a chat with a station. Sometimes, it takes 5 seconds or more to indicate on or off line, and when it does, the station is usually online and able to receive messages even though it will indicate offline.

Re: Regarding JTAlert 2.16.5 randomly stopping display of Callsigns
I have the same issue. Both on the 32 and 64 bit version. This morning I reinstalled again (64 bit) and after first test it took 7 minutes till it didn’t showed the callsigns anymore in Jtalert 2.16.5. Second time after restarting it all it took much longer, about 40 minutes or so. Hope you can send me the fix too Laurie so I can test that out.
Thanks in advance, Ivan , PD0AI

Duplicate Alt-S Key
I have noticed that in JTAlert 2.16.5 Alt-S has two functions - it toggles the 'out-of-shack' it high-lights the 'Settings' menu.
I would suggest changing one of these and make sure that there are no other duplicated alt key mapings caused by having the Menu bar.

Re: False Keywords Alert
Yes, Neal. It is the only alert with this color. After I disabled Keywords Alert it was gone immediately. Must be a bug in JTAlert.
