JTAlert quits working
Larry Van Horn - Radio (N5FPW)
Currently using JTAlert 2.16.5 and WSJT-X 2.1.2 on a Win7 machine. After starting both programs, operations are normal for about two to three minutes then JTAlert no longer displays any contacts. WSJT is still decoding but JTAlert is not displaying those decodes.
Anyone with any thoughts on a fix? 73 de Larry, N5FPW

Thanks. I assumed that was only related to the spoken announcement because the word "play" was used. I should change that wording, perhaps to "Trigger the Alert". When I refer to an "Alert" I mean both the audio announcement and the Callsign coloring. de Laurie VK3AMA

Yes you can. Most of the Alerts have a B4 override option, including the Wanted Call alert.Thanks. I assumed that was only related to the spoken announcement because the word "play" was used. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreisert@alum.mit.edu>, http://www.ad1c.us

It also looks like "Show only Callsigns generating Alerts" does not

have priority over "Do not show Worked Before (B4) Callsigns" when both filters are set, which I hoped would solve this problem.

Possibility of eliminating some bands in "Callsign TX/Rx per band"
Carlo - IK2RPE
Good morning Laurie,
In JTAlert v. 2.16.5 is there the possibility of eliminating some of the bands (not interesting for me) appearing in the window "Callsign TX/Rx per band" ? Thanks Carlo IK2RPE

Re: upgrade issues
Joe
Okay, forget my past. I have run thru an hour of playing with this and in all but two cases (out of maybe 15) the interface is responsive in that I can turn sound on/off, open settings, etc. In those two cases it appeared truly KIA. In those cases, I did not have to kill the process but rather used the "X" in the upper right corner to end it.

Non-responsive...as in restart required. If it helps, WSJTX is not being run with administrative privilege. Hope that helps.

Re: JTAlert titlebar problem
HI just an observation which does not affect the program from working properly the title bar goes from normal to dull , see photo JT1 and then back to normal either on its own or when window of JTAlert is clicked ?? strange no big deal but when it goes dull I think it stopped working which is not the case
Thank you Jacques F1VEV

Releases 2.16.5 for me isn't so good. It hangs regularly. Only once have I had to restart it, but every 5-10 minutes it goes to sleep.OM, When you say "hangs" do you mean the GUI becomes non-responsive or that Callsigns stop being displayed? If the later, that has been reported by a small number of users. In one case the problem was caused by running WSJT-X with elevated privileges (set to run as Administrator). Make sure your not running WSJT-X elevated. If elevation is not the problem, then I suggest you downgrade JTAlert to 2.16.4 until further testing has been done to try and reproduce the defect after which I will make a new build for those affected to test. de Laurie VK3AMA
