Jim,

Where onscreen is this particular SMS function of JT-Alert enabled?
Thanks,

Howard and Herb,

I'm on 2.16.4 and I also see this on startup.  It happens about 75% of the time.  Just to add a bit more information, if I leave the decodes window open but go to File - Database - Export/Delete Decode Records and then select the Delete button, the Decodes window is then populated.  Maybe this will help figure out what's going on.

What version are you running?  I had reported this problem before....so if you are running the latest 2.16.4 Laurie added some debug to find out what's going on.

Turn on Settings/Enable Debug Recording -- duplicate the problem and note the time it occurs and send in the bug report via Help/Contact Support

I have tried several different variations including only running WSJT-X & JTAlert -- no other activities or programs running.

   I use only ADIF logging
There are about 108,000 records in the ADIF file that is read at startup

Has anyone else seen this behavior ???

Suggestions are welcome !

I think this has resolved itself - possibly  a qrz issue.  Will test further.

Hi
looking again JTalert settings, for an unkown reason, the "no qsl confirmation" was no longer tagged… I changed it back to "normal" (ie = no qsl required)
I don't think that I have changed that setting at any time…
Let see if it solves the issue (I will rescan the log to confirm score difference)

Hi,

On the basis,, for marathon, you don't need to have qsl. The qso is enough.
But you may be right:
I do not have confirmation of ZD8, 3A, XV (and so on) for year 2020 qso.

On the other side, as I wrote, I worked ZD8SC, and after the qso, JTalert continue to report as "new marathon" which is not true as qso is already made with that station on same bande/mode...
This is same for any others

It sounds that, at a certain point (when, how, why?), JTAlert is not updating the statistic for Marathon.

Tell me which info you need. Thanks

OM,

Go to the HRD users forum.  Also there is a video on HRD's YouTube channel that explains what you have to do to the new HRD to get your log to update FT4 confirmations.  There are links to YouTube. .

locked Hamspots not displaying Calls You Spotted #FT8

grn@...

I've been using Hamspots for a few years with no issues but have not been doing any radio work for over a year. Prior to my shutdown, Hamspots reliably reported both calls I'd spotted as well as my calls spotted by others. I've now started working again using the new version of FT8 and no longer get any reports of calls I've spotted and only a few entries of my calls spotted by others (some bands are better than others but not the number of spots that I used to get).

Nothing has changed in my Hamspots, WSJT-X of JTAlert setup so would appreciated any suggestions as to what to look at. And yes, I do have JTAlert to report calls I've spotted.

Many thanks,

George M0MGN

What is the version number of your TQSL program? I have heard of some issues with the most recent update but have not tracked it down yet so I would like to understand what the issue might be.

I am also interested in an answer.
Some days ago I reported that I got a message from an OM who was
displayed as "offline". So the online / offline indication seems to be
unreliable.

You forgot one step ... if you want JTAlert to update HRD, turn off direct updates from WSJT-X, or else you'll get duplicate entries.

Pretty much as Bill said.

If you are looking at JTAlert to see DXCC worked, etc then:

Perhaps you did not click SAVE on the JTAlert screen where you selected Scan and Rebuild Log after Applying to your log.

I have always first selected Sync LOTW QSOs & QSLs on the QSL screen of DXKeeper before running SCAN & REBUILD in JTAlert.
Otherwise JTAlert will not pick up the updated log status.

If the states you have worked are already in DXKeeper then the Scan & Rebuild should pick them up after you have synced with LOTW.

73  Walt - W6SA

You MUST select SAVE to have this applied to JTAlert after the Scan & Rebuild otherwise it does not update the JTAlert stats.

Neither.

It indicates that the station has the SMS function of JT-Alert enabled.

Crawl before you walk.

Start by getting WSJT-X  working.  There is excellent docs produced for this package.

WSJT-X produces an ADIF log.   Master that system well.

Next,  get HRD logging from WSJT-X  directly — that is the next milestone.

Finally insert JTAlert into the logging path.

Take it in  small steps and ask for help in the various forums.

Be very specific about your question and you will get plenty of help.

Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks Bill ... this was VERY helpful.  I now understand this feature ... I have eQSL all synced up and reconfigured DXKeeper to work correctly ... next up is to add the US states to the log records before I started with JTA ... then update LoTW

thanks again ... be safe
