Hi Dave,

what instructions are you referring to?

What are the values of the following two Windows Registry keys?
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config\MinPollInterval

Hi Dave,

there is no such version of Windows. The Windows Internet Time sync has been unchanged for several versions, all that has changed are that the instructions for increasing the accuracy that only used to only be in the Windows Server documentation are now listed for the Desktop versions. Unless you have changed the relevant registry settings to increase the time accuracy you are still potentially only getting a time correction every 9 hours (2^15 seconds).

IMHO the best way to maintain accurate synchronization to UTC on Windows is to install a 3rd party tool like the Meinberg NTP Client and configure it correctly.

I have installed this new version, but now there seems to be a problem with the Decodes history window not doing any filtering.  All lines from WSJT-X band activity window are appearing in the decodes history window.

I have re-instated the log adif file, closed and restarted JTAlert, and done a scan and rebuild, but the same problem exists.

Is there something else I have missed, or is there a bug?

Can I revert to the previous version? If so how?

Laurie,

You're 100% correct, it's certainly a WEB connection speed problem !

My QTH is in a camping site and i'm using a wireless 2G-3G mode connection...

In others cases, i get time-out errors  or lost connection messages.

I will try to use the camping WI-FI WLAN (10 to 20 times more speedy) for the PC using JTAlertX.

For my private use, i don't like this solution...

Your answer explain why sometimes all is ok with HamSpots.net and sometimes not hi!

Thank you for your help and work for JTAlert !

Correct, your not blocked and the database shows that your Callsign has never been blocked for wrong-band spotting.

Something else must be the cause.

I suggest you enable PSKReporter spotting in WSJT-X and see if those spots make it through to HamSpots.

Also, please send me direct, not via this group, your public IP address and I will examine the incoming spot logs. There are a number of IPs that are continually timing out or dropping their connections before completing the transfer of spot data to HamSpots. Yours might be in that list. Dropped connections are typically caused by Virus/Malware protection preventing or interfering with the Connection, or having an Internet connection that is high-latency or experiencing high-packet loss.

The launcher will install the ones you've chosen, then install updates for you from the Configure menu.

In that suite, Commander talks to the radio, reads frequency and mode, and can control it. DXView gives beam headings and distance to DX countries, Spot Collector compares cluster spots to your log and alerts you when there's a spot for someone you want to work. WinWarbler is a "wrapper" for MMTTY and 2Tone RTTY programs, and does some other legacy digital modes. I like WW for non-contest RTTY work.

DXKeeper integrates almost automagically with LOTW, eQSL, and ClubLog once you're set up with them.

Amos,

What you experiencing is directly related to how the JTAlert workflow is designed, processing decodes in batches, rather than one-at-a-time and sending the Color instructions to WSJT-X after each decode is processed. Its difficult to explain with out creating confusion. Regardless, the latest JTAlert, 2.13.8, has an inbuilt workaround to prevent this happening, which only occurred because another Callsign was calling the DX Callsign in the same period as the DX was transmitting.

That's how I operate, but I don't use SliceMaster, I don't own a Flex, so there may be unexpected complications.

If you only ever run WSJT-X, SliceMaster and JTAlert at the same time, try having JTAlert auto-start/close both SliceMaster and WSJT-X. simply starting and closing JTAlert will auto-start and close both apps.

Is there something out in there that has more "how to" information on my specific setup. Specifically, PCs networked together for logging using N3FJP?

If I can't solve this in the next couple of days, our FD team will just have to do the logging manually. Not a problem but just thought we could take advantage of the connection between the software packages.

Randy - AJ7B
Randy,

As a first step, ignore JTAlert and make sure you have the N3FJP networking setup correctly. You may want to post to the "N3FJPSoftwareUsers"  users group to get accurate answers on how to correct the networking problems. N3FJP himself monitors that group and is best placed to provide assistance.

With respect to JTAlert, you need to run a copy on each laptop that is running a local copy of the N3FJP FD log and WSJT-X. Setup JTAlert to work with that local copy of FD Log as per the JTAlert Tutorial in its Help File. Don't try and have each JTAlert access the remote master log. Have JTAlert log to the local copy of FD log and leave that local copy of FD log (assuming you have the FD Log network setup correctly) manage the transfer of the data to the Master log.
