What logging program do you use/have?  That's what you need to set up in JTAlert.
Hopefully you use one of the supported loggers.  I can highly recommend Log4OM.

The Log Fields are not showing because any data they would contain would not be used since you don't have any logging enabled in JTAlert. See the "NO Log" in the JTAlert titlebar. Once you enable a logger, than the Log Fields display will become available.

And also turn on the menu setting "Alerts/Filters - Show only Callsigns generating alerts" -- easy to turn off when you want to see more.

Chad,

why not turn on some of the JTAlert filters? A good place to start is
the worked before filter.

I'm using it on a laptop and 2/3 of my screen is taken up by WSJT-X and Graph.  I would like to resize the JTalert bar for the other 1/3 of screen. I would need 3 across and 25 down
Sorry, not possible with the current v2 series of JTAlert.
The future JTAlert V3 (still many months away from release) will allow the user to freely resize the window  and the number of callsign slots displayed.

Laurie,

I'm routinely getting more than 4x9=36 decodes on 20M, and JTAlert doesn't process those calls that are beyond 36, meaning I could be missing opportunities for new DXCC, Grid, Marathon, States, etc.

I saw you mention v3 back in February 2017, and again in Oct 2018 (and I'm sure more times), when people asked for more lines/slots.  FT8 is becoming more and more popular, and the need for more display lines/slots increases.  Any chance of releasing v3 soon?

Thanks for an awesome program!

This sounds very much like Virus/Malware protection interference is the cause.

JTAlert will be unaffected by slow or lost Internet connectivity hanging the HamSpots & QRZ lookup processes as they are run as separate applications from JTAlert. These are the ".plugin" processes as observed in TaskManager. While these plugins can hang for extended periods they will not affect the main JTAlert processing.

As a test, I suggest enabling HamSpots again and see if the slowdown reappears. If it does that will indicate that something on your PC (likely your virus protection) is interfering with the plugin process and also the parent application that spawned that process, ie the main JTAlert process.

Normally, while JTAlert is running, you can physically disconnect from the Internet, thus breaking HamSpots spots and QRZ lookups, causing those processes to hang until their time-outs trigger without any noticeable impact on JTAlert. That is how it was designed.

Hi Murf,

try compacting the DXKeeper database "DXKeeper->Config->Log->Log File->Compact". Probably best to backup the log before running it.

No..it does a live lookup.  Disabling DXKeeper will prevent JTAlert from looking at it's log.

The Log Fields are not showing because any data they would contain would not be used since you don't have any logging enabled in JTAlert. See the "NO Log" in the JTAlert titlebar. Once you enable a logger, than the Log Fields display will become available.

If you want to view something that is not currently visible, the first place to look is the "View" menu.
