Hi Bob,

It appears you missed this part or the 2.0.0 announcement..
The sound file paths for each Alert will not get migrated so you will need to visit each Alert in the Config and set the path.
Probably just best to use the Default button.

Visit the Config and you will observe that the wave file paths are empty for each of your alerts.

In both cases I used the program updates options to download the extra bits.

I can select the Test Sound Card option and the voice is loud and clear.

The alert options appear to be ok as I have them configured to pop the main JT65 application to the top when a CQ is decoded and this is working.

The JT-Alert menu bar Sound On option is displayed.

But I am not hearing the audio queues…

Obviously there is something silly that I am missing.  How about a hint?

Laurie,

You are right...

Sorry has been a misunderstanding,

I thought it was the function END OF JT65 TC/RX PERIOD that alerts the end of each QSO. in 1.60 version.

It is Own Call alert, and the wav file name field configuration was empty in the V2.0, now works in the same way as before.

DJ,

Is this the exact same line number as the pre 2.0.0 version? Very unlikely that it is. What is JT-Alert doing at the time of the error? Was it just after JT65-HF produced some new decodes, if so were there many decodes or only a few (say less than 8)? Does it occur at some other time in the minute.

Your session files don't help isolate the problem, as this error is fatal and kills JT-Alert without flushing of the most recent session records from the memory cache to the physical file, so there is no record of what is happening just prior to the fault.

Hi Roley,

If you have JT-Alert docking enabled (Window section of the configuration) and JT-Alert is being placed as you describe, that suggests a defect in the docking code. There have been no other reports of this behaviour. Please take a screen capture showing both JT65-HF and JT-Alert and the incorrect positioning and email to me. Also send me your config file (use the Contact Support menu). You will need to send the screen capture as a separate email as the Contact Support option doesn't support attachments (feature for a new version).

Just one small point I have noticed.
When I sturt the software it used to position itself at the bottom of JT65. However this version positions itself much lower and I have to re-position it each time I start it.
Operationally I can't find any problems, but to be honest I never thought I would!

Sam,

Not a bug in the database. W4WWJ is correctly recorded as FL.
Works fine here. Putting W4WWJ into the JT65-HF "TX to Call Sign" field triggers JT-Alert to populate the Log Fields with USA and FL, not PR.

Checked your log to see if you have a previous logged QSO that is incorrectly recorded as PR.

If you still get the wrong data, enter W4WWJ into JT65-HF and after JT-Alert has populated the Log fields with the incorrect data,
use the "Contact Support" link and I will examine your session file to see what is causing JT-Alert to flag the call as PR.

Hi Costas,

There is no need to do an import.
Use the "Select" button  to navigate to the location and select the adif file you previously exported and saved from your logger.
The "Select" button DOES NOT delete the contents of the file.

1) Enter his call in the "TX to Call Sign" box
2) Click the "answer" button in the bottom row of
buttons

It will generate the needed automatic text message for you

CQ DX is not proper and the program should just ignore
it, but it
doesn't. It "should" see the second "word" isn't a call sign
and flag
it as non CQ

The ruleset is:
CQ
or
QRZ

That's the same problem with the guy sending "TU CQ
[call]"
That shouldn't even highlight because CQ is not the first
word (
overlooked in code ).
....and then it's an unclickable CQ message

A "CQ DX", I'd do the TX to call sign hit answer.
The "TU CQ [call]" without even finishing the last QSO...

Laurie,

With all he 10 meter band openings, I kind of took a break from JT65 and worked some SSB. I had the pleasure of working a couple HAMs on SSB that I had previouly worked on JT65 which was nice.

The past few evenings however the bands have dropped so I fired up the ole JT65 and had the oppertunity to use version 2.0. I really enjoy the enhancments. I add my remarks to those already shared by others. Thank for the had work to make this mode even more fun.
