Re: Do you run JTAlert against multiple copies of WSJT-X and JTDX concurrently on the same PC? - POLL Closed
JTAlert Support (VK3AMA)
Poll is now closed.
The multi-instance support within JTAlert will be changing. It will no longer be possible to run multiple copies of JTAlert against both WSJT-X and JTDX simultaneously. You will be able to run multiple instances of JTAlert against either WSJT-X OR JTDX only. Both types of applications can be running simultaneously on the PC (JTAlert wont care), but only one of JTAlert operating modes (against WSJT-X or JTDX) will be supported. This change may be reversed in the future, but unlikely in the short term. de Laurie, VK3AMA

Re: Log40m
I edited the mode.csv file and added "FT8;FT8;DATA;FT8" & restarted Log4OM. Now if I go to "edit" one of my prior QSO's - FT8 shows up in the mode box. I then tried to "update" the QSO which in the past resent it to all of the online weblogs including eQSL however it is still not showing up in my outbox. How are you getting it to upload to eQSL and do you have to do this one at a time or is there a way to update and upload a date range.

Re: Convert FT8 to RTTY?
As usual, I found the answer right after I posted my last reply. It is done not in the logging program but rather by mapping FT8 to Data in TQSL. It is a little hard to find.

The reason to convert to RTTY is to enable upload to LOTW. Is there another way? Paul, Uploading to LoTW should be the responsibility of your logger. You should look there on how to upload an unsupported mode and what to do once the mode becomes available. If you not using a logger and relying on a raw ADIF file, the recommended method of uploading Digital mode (not recognised by LoTW) is to map the mode to "DATA" within the TQSL app. If you do that, once the mode is recognised by LoTW, you will need to remove that mapping and re-upload the QSOs to LoTW. My suggestion, if you don't want instant LoTW QSL confirmation, is to hold off uploading to LoTW until the mode is recognised. de Laurie VK3AMA

Chuck, If the reboot didn't correct the problem, that indicates a file lock due to an existing running process is not the cause. The likely culprit will be your virus/malware protection software preventing the OS file write and the installer is then reporting the move error. The .plugin files are typically involved in JTAlert functionality that runs in the background and their failure may not be immediately apparent. Depending on which plugin files are not updated you may not notice any problems. Eventually you will want to ensure that all files are updated. The next release of JTAlert has 4 plugin files that have internal changes and a failure to update them will be problematic. de Laurie VK3AMA

Thanks for the reply Laurie, Cold reboot did not fix it, but I have to admit that the program
is working. I will not worry about it at this point unless I see
some strange goings on with it. tnx, Chuck

This version should be considered beta quality due to the very large amount of code changes involved.
I will be limiting the availability of this per-release to approximately 10 users.
