locked Re: Matching Callsign

Dave (NK7Z)

I have tried that as well... I have just convinced myself it is a bug in the program...

I entered, NK7I, (he is on), and got a match and an alert. I entered, JT1CO, and got an alert. I entered B1CRA, and saw him decode, and got no alert...

I think it is the lack of two letters in the first two positions of the call that is causing issues.

My first try was with exact matches, as I mentioned up thread, then I went to wildcards to test. Under no condition can I get an alert from B1CRA, B2CRA, etc...

Guess we will need to wait for Laurie to return to solve this...

Can you forget the wildcard stuff and enter the "exact callsign" (and you can do multiple) in the "Wanted callsign" window (settings, Alerts)?

Hi,
That won't work out of the box.  As per the help file, the matching
function only works for a single character, and only a single matching
character is allowed.
To see the instructions for matching, use "SEARCH", and look for
"wildcard".
I am trying to match an exact callsign, I see in the decode window, and
that is failing...  I am at a loss here...
