You can use Alt + Tab to view or cycle through the windows. If you just do it once then keep holding the Alt key, all of the open windows will remain displayed and you can click on any window you want to focus on.
Once in a while my Text Message Window goes to the back of the other windows and that is what I do. After that, it generally comes up on top the next time.
